View all results →At Biocon, we build each generic formulation research and development engagement around context. The right plan depends on what has already been learned, what remains uncertain, which inputs are ready, and how the results will influence the next decision. Our team brings those factors together early so the work has a clear purpose, an agreed path, and deliverables matched to your program.
We develop complex generic formulations with an emphasis on product design, process development, analytical understanding, and regulatory readiness. R&D work supports our generics portfolio across dosage forms and markets, connecting formulation choices with manufacturability and quality requirements. Program outputs are generated for internal product development, technology transfer, filing, and lifecycle needs. Treat this as a description of our own R&D capability, not an independent scientific-reporting service for external sponsors. This work sits within our Pharmaceutical R&D capabilities and is coordinated with the wider program context when the scope requires it.
During scoping, we work through the objective, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and potential decision points in plain language. We also identify assumptions that need to be tested before they become schedule or budget problems. The resulting plan defines responsibilities on both sides, shows where reviews will occur, and makes clear how changes in inputs or findings will be handled. This creates a shared operating picture without locking the project into details that should remain flexible.
We work as an extension of the program team while maintaining clear ownership of actions and decisions. Regular reviews cover completed work, near-term priorities, risks, and information needed from either side. If new evidence changes the best route, we explain the reason, the available alternatives, and the effect on deliverables or timing. The goal is a transparent engagement in which technical detail supports progress instead of obscuring it.
We define deliverables before execution so the final package supports its intended use. Depending on the agreed scope, that may include data files, methods or workflow documentation, quality records, summaries, figures, or a decision-focused report; only the items relevant to this service are included. We review format, level of detail, and downstream users in advance. Final discussions cover what was done, what was observed, how results should be interpreted, and which questions remain outside the evidence generated.
Before execution, we also confirm how the work will connect with adjacent activities and which handoffs could affect quality, timing, or interpretation. That check helps us identify missing inputs early, avoid duplicated effort, and keep the completed package consistent with the program's immediate priorities. We record the decisions made during this alignment so the project team has a stable reference as work progresses.
To plan a generic formulation research and development project, share the program stage, primary objective, available inputs, known constraints, desired timing, and the decision the work needs to support. We will use that information to frame a focused technical discussion and return a scope that identifies the proposed approach, responsibilities, assumptions, review points, deliverables, and major cost or schedule drivers.
